The Isle of Mull and the neighbouring island of Iona lie just off the west coast of Scotland. Mull is a beautiful island of moorland, forest and peaks. It is home to 13th century Duart Castle, once a stronghold of the Lords of the Isles, and now home of the chief of the Clan MacLean.

With a population of just under 3000 on an island fifty miles from North to South, the Mull is one of the largest Hebridean islands, but sparsely populated. The main population centre is Tobermory, where nearly 1,000 people live and work.
