Yew Tree Villa Bed and Breakfast is located in one of the prettiest villages in Mid Wales, close to Offas Dyke, and the Royal Welsh Showground.
Yew Tree Villa, a charming Edwardian dwelling, was built around 1910. The exterior has been altered over the years, but the house still retains many of the original features, such as the encaustic tiled inner hall, the little Edwardian bedroom fireplaces and lovely solid oak staircase.
The Bed and Breakfast provides a great hearty healthy breakfast and a peaceful and tranquil location, ideal for those in search of a much-needed rest after a day tackling the famous Offa's Dyke Path or visiting the Welsh showground.
It is only a short distance away from the little bustling market towns of Kington, Knighton and Presteigne.
Guest Rooms:
In keeping with an historic Edwardian villa, each bedroom is different from the next - imaginatively decorated, supremely comfortable and with great attention to detail to ensure a relaxing stay. There is a choice of twin or double rooms, each with ensuite bath/shower rooms and tea and coffee facilities.
We can dry your clothes if necessary and ironing facilities are available on request. Unfortunately there are no family rooms but a cot can be provided if you are staying with a very young child in your room (subject to availability). The bedrooms have secure lockable storage for safekeeping of your belongings during your stay.
All rooms have lockable storage for the safe keeping of valuables, a hairdryer and clock radio. An iron is available on request as are morning calls. Please note there are no telephones in the rooms, but you you may use the house telephone. (a nominal charge will be made for this).
Bed and Breakfast Facilities:
There is a comfortable lounge with a log fire if you wish to relax, read or watch television. Alternatively a private garden you can sit in with views across the hillside. An evening meal can be provided on request.

The Area:
Situated amongst hills and forests of Radnorshire, the area is a delight of wooded hills, hidden valleys, waterfalls, rocks and ravines. An area that is mostly ignored by tourists, but if you are willing to go off the beaten track you will not be disappointed.
It's a great base for all outdoor activities ; walking, trail biking, fishing, pony trekking and bird watching - a great place to watch the beautiful red kite.

To Find Us:
Travelling from Leominster or Hereford Take the A44 towards Rhayader.
After Kington and through the village of Walton on the A 44, travel about 4miles further and on the right hand side there are two turnings into New Radnor. Off the first one you will see the Monument. Take this turn off the A44 and School Lane is the first turning on your right just before the monument. Yew tree villa is 100 yards on your right, opposite the village school.

Unfortunately we have no facilities for extra beds in the bedrooms.
